The 65th GRAMMY Swiftlist: Everything you need to know

I walked through the door with you, Taylor Nation.

Here at the Swift Agency, just a guy who knows nothing except what he’s doing tonight, we just hope we can watch this thing from Narn- I mean, Canada- or we’re going to be in so much trouble. Trouble, trouble… Ahem, sorry. Anyhow, the 65th GRAMMY Awards happen tonight, February 5th. Before you ask, Taylor’s Midnights is not eligible for Album of the Year since the last qualifying date is September 30th and her last studio album was released in October. Taylor will do as she will. That being said, she has a few other nominations to mind:

  • Song of the Year for “All Too Well (10 Minute Version)(The Short Film)”. -To Be Announced
  • Best Country Song for “I Bet You Think About Me”. – Lost
  • Best Song Written for Visual Media for “Carolina”. – Lost
  • Best Music Video for All Too Well: The Short Film. – Win

Now odds are good she will be adding one if not more to her already impressive roster. That’s not because she deserves it more or less, and she’s swept through these before. I’ve said this way too often, but the Blonde With The Sparkly Guitar does not need another award – it’s the award, academy, network and all that needs her there. Recognizing Tay with an award keeps the academy relevant and not the other way around.

Taylor has a seat with her name on it seated next to her no less famous co-conspirator and co-producer Jack Antonoff. We expect her to be dancing in the front row. Cameraman, you have one job. We’ll be watching.
