  • January 5: The song “Beautiful Ghosts” from the CATS movie soundtrack written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Taylor Swift is nominated for Best Original Song – Motion Picture at the 77th Golden Globes Awards. (Update: It lost to “I’m Gonna Love Me Again” from the ROCKETMAN movie soundtrack written by Elton John and Bernie Taupin).
  • January 23: Taylor Swift: Miss Americana, directed by Lana Wilson, debuts at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. Taylor Swift and Lana Wilson attend the premiere.
  • January 26: The GRAMMY Awards. Taylor had three nominations: Song of the Year for “Lover,” Best Pop Solo Performance for “You Need To Calm Down,” and Best Pop Vocal Album for “Lover.” (Update: Best Pop Vocal Album went to Billie Eilish’s “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” Best Pop Solo Performance went to Lizzo for “Truth Hurts” and Song of the Year went to Billie Eilish for “Bad Guy”.)
  • January 31: Watch Taylor Swift: Miss Americana on Netflix.


  • March 29: The iHeartRadio Music Awards 2020 premieres from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, CA on FOX at 8/7c pm. Taylor has six nominations: Female Artist of the Year, Best Lyrics, Best Cover Song, Best Music Video, Best Fan Army and Best Remix. Postponed.


  • April 5: Capital One Jamfest. Cancelled.
  • April 16: Taylor Swift will receive the Vanguard Award at the 31st Annual GLAAD Awards taking place in Los Angeles, CA. Postponed.
