Here at the Swift Agency, just a guy who could really have a piece of cake right about now, we’re stuck in colder weather (i.e. Canada). Hope it’s nice where you are.  And now, let’s go to the videos with the Enchantress receiving Female Artist of the Year, Best Tour and Album of the Year at the 2016 iHeartRadio Music Awards last night.

We’re very thankful for having her, Taylor Nation.

The 2016 iHeartRadio Music Awards took place tonight, Sunday April 3rd at the Forum in Los Angeles, California. The Blonde With The Sparkly 1989 Microphone had a great time hanging around with Selena Gomez, Zendaya and Calvin Harris. She also managed to pick five awards:

  • Album of the Year for 1989
  • Female Artist of the Year
  • Best Tour of the Year for The 1989 World Tour
  • Best Meme-able Moment for “Blank Space”
  • Most Thumbed Up Artist of the Year.

She received Female Artist of the Year from Brad Paisley, Best Tour from Justin Timberlake who made an amazing speech and finally Album of the Year from Selena Gomez. She also took a chance to thank “my boyfriend, Adam” for having someone to come home to after the spotlight was off. That’s a reference to Calvin Harris real name, in case you’re not aware.

Her most significant moment, at least in my opinion, was her last award of the night. Here’s her acceptance speech for Album of the Year:

Guys! I want to thank everyone at iHeart for putting on this amazing evening that we all had so much fun at. I want to thank John Ivy, John Coleman, I want to thank all the radio stations who played the songs off 1989. I never dreamed of having this many number ones. Thank for you for liking and listening to my songs on the radio. That’s really nice.

This is probably my last award show for awhile so I just want to say I know my mom, dad and brother are watching. My most vivid memory of growing up is my mom and dad telling me that I was different and unique and special and that I could do whatever I wanted with my life. So parents, tell your kids everyday that they’re different, they’re special, they’re unique. They can do whatever they want with their lives.

Thank you for having me. Good night.

-Taylor Swift

It sounds a little bit like a good bye, doesn’t it. Well, the Sparkly Dressed is taking a bit of a break. How long or short is really up to her. But from one lowly member of the fandom to their superstar, I’d like to say: Thank you for having us, T. See you soon.

The iHeartRadio Music Awards Swiftlist: What you need to know tonight

Are you ready to go, Taylor Nation?

The 2016 iHeartRadio Music Awards are taking place tonight, Sunday April 3rd, at the Forum in Los Angeles, California. The event will be televised live on TBS, TNT, and truTV at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT., as well as simulcast on iHeartMedia stations nationwide, and on the iHeartRadio digital music platform. The Blonde With The Sparkly 1989 Microphone is up for 8 awards from which she already won one, the Best Tour for the 1989 World Tour. Adele’s “Hello” already won Song of the Year. Here’s Taylor’s full list of nominations:

  • Most Thumbed Up Artist of the Year. Win!

Here at the Swift Agency, just a guy who’s aware that the ACM Awards are also tonight, we still feel weird that we’re not covering country music awards anymore.

Another big question: When is that “New Romantics” video going to drop? Yes, I’ve heard a few people in social media rationalize that tonight’s awards would be ideal timing but so far, that remains wishful thinking. Wouldn’t iHeartRadio be publicizing it has that exclusive to get more viewers? No official word from 13 Management or the Sparkly Dressed.

Besides the iHeartRadio Music Awards, this Sunday is also the date for Canada’s Juno Awards, the ACM Awards, WWE’s Wrestlemania and the Walking Dead season finale. In Canada, Bell Media has announced the first ever broadcast of the 2016 iHeartRadio Music Awards on CTV for April 9. Seriously? When the awards are already a week old? Sigh. Guess they didn’t want to take any focus away from the Juno Awards.

Coming up next in the Calendar:

Long live the 1989 World Tour, Taylor Nation.

Here at the Swift Agency, just a guy who’s not going to believe a word that anybody else says today, we swear this is not an April’s Fool’s Day prank. I swear pranking gets too dark with some people. Take it down a notch, it’s not a license to hurt. The Blonde With The Sparkly 1989 Microphone already has her first award to collect this Sunday, April 3 at the 2016 iHeartRadio Music Awards. She will be collecting Best Tour for the 1989 World Tour that forever lives in the hearts and minds of her fans. Also, she’s confirmed to attend.

I know it says she has seven more nominations to look forward to, but it’s really six: Female Artist of the Year, Album of the Year for 1989, Best Collaboration for “Bad Blood”, Best Meme-able Moment for “Blank Space”, Best Fan Army for #Swifties and Best Cover Song for Alessia Cara Covering Taylor Swift. Yes, she was also nominated for Song of the Year but that award has already been won by Adele for her hit song “Hello”.

On other news, treadmills are the spawns of hell. Here’s Taylor’s ad for Apple Music.

Ouch T, that looks like it hurt. #TAYLORvsTREADMILL

Busy weekend coming up! Besides the iHeartRadio Music Awards, you got Canada’s Juno Awards, the ACM Awards, WWE’s Wrestlemania and the Walking Dead season finale. Monday is going to be a killer.

News Update: Easter Egg Battles 2016! iHeartRadio Music Awards on April 3rd

(Source: iHeartRadio)
(Source: iHeartRadio)

Happy Easter, Taylor Nation! Play nice.

Here at the Swift Agency, just a guy who’s working tomorrow Monday because that’s how it goes sometimes, we’re just here to catch you up on oncoming events. Although already announced, it bears repeating that the 2016 iHeartRadio Music Awards is coming up in a week (April 3). I hope you voted for the Sparkly Dressed, because from what I understand the voting is now closed. She leads the nominations because… she’s Taylor.

Taylor was a winner in 2015, so initially that should act against her – then again she’s got 1989 as her Album of the Year entry which can’t be ignored easily. With Justin Bieber and Meghan Trainor set to perform, odds are strong that they’ll win in their categories. It would be easy to call MTV rules on this one but…

Oh yeah, let me explain that quick. “MTV rules” is this term I coined for that scenario in which the winner of the award is the only nominee that shows up. That being said, if more artists show up this could turn into a bigger event, which will give iHeartRadio some more prestige in the award show circuit. At least they don’t give out surfboards.

On other news, Happy Easter! Taylor shared a couple of short clips of herself and Austin Swift playing a game she calls the “Easter Egg Battles”. Enjoy.

Let me give you a word of advice. If you’re going to try this at home, show this to a parent first and make sure both siblings play nice. Otherwise, I’m sure you both are going to be stuck cleaning up egg from the kitchen floor and walls.
