The rep tour Manchester: It is such an honour to play for you tonight

Capture it, remember it, Taylor Nation.

The Blonde With The Sparkly Snake Microphone played the Etihad Stadium in Manchester on June 8 and 9. Along for the ride, were her already popular opening acts Charli XCX and Camila Cabello.

The Enchantress had something to say to the crowd. Just over a year ago, Manchester was the setting for a terror attack, a bombing that took the lives of 22 people just after an Ariana Grande concert on May 22nd, 2017. Taylor wanted to make sure they knew she remembered.

“What happened a year ago was an attempt to steal that innocent and excitement of a pop concert and since then you’ve shown such strength,” she told the crowd. “You’ve shown you have such incredible resilience to keep dancing and to keep the joy and keep the excitement. I just want to say, Manchester, it is such an honour to play for you tonight.”

Taylor’s surprise songs on the B-stage were acoustic versions of “I Knew You Were Trouble” on Friday, June 8 and “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” on Saturday, June 9th. You can find a growing compilation of her surprise songs on Billboard.

1989 World Tour Manchester: Still a Love Story. Win two free tickets with Blipd! And love wins finally…

Yes, I’m aware she’s opening at Hyde Park today, Taylor Nation 🙂

However, I can’t help but always have a soft spot for Manchester. Back in the Fearless Tour, it was one of the first stops where she would insert the name of the city in the lyrics of Fearless (“Manchester, capture it, remember it”). The Enchantress will have a Love Story with some cities Forever and Always. Sorry about the old school puns. Some things are just classic. Don’t click on the picture on your right if you don’t want to see the catwalk.

Here at the Swift Agency, just a guy who’s always happy to bring you news from the real world from time to time, we’re ecstatic to hear that the US Supreme Court just made same sex marriages legal and with equal rights nationwide. It’s very simple, you can marry whoever you love. Also, you don’t have to get them anything. So put politics aside and just be glad that this is now a thing.

And yes, T-Swizzle confirmed that line from Welcome To New York was a subtle reference to the subject.

How does a free concert sound? Yes, it’s a contest but the entry is free. Blipd is a social application that is running their very own Swiftstakes. Just download the app, register and you could win two front and center tickets to see Taylor Swift at Nationals Park on July 13. Since that money tree is not sprouting any twenties yet, I’d say this is a no-risk alternative to go see the Blonde With The Sparkly 1989 Microphone in concert. If you don’t win, you haven’t lost a thing. Just don’t expect to win without entering. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play and you can register until July 3. Good luck!

The Sparkly Dressed played Manchester at the Evening News Arena on March 29. To all the Swifties present, including a few that we know from Twitter, we know you enjoyed it.

Here at the Swift Agency, one guy who’s not expecting to hit the big time anytime soon, think that Taylor is a nice and sweet person. That being said, she’s also the kind of girl you do not want to make angry.

Yes, we’re talking of about the ultimate revenge song, which happens to be what the Outspoken One does best. The live performance rocks. This is a pit view of her performance of Better Than Revenge from Manchester:

Thanks to Ashleighuber for posting. Did you notice the fist bump shared by Liz and Cait when they switch places behind Taylor’s back?
