Inside Speak Now: Taylor Swift kicks off the Speak Now world tour in Singapore!

Fearless / I'm Yours

Note: The following post contains concert details. Don’t read if you prefer to be surprised in your concert!

Singapore got their Taylor on! Here at the Swift Agency, we’re one guy that still gets confused by timezones, but the night of February 9 already hit Singapore like a full-on rainstorm to a house of cards. She’s definitely doing the acoustic version of Fearless with an ukelele and mixing in I’m Yours, so look forward to that if you’re going.

The international version of the Speak Now tour does not include a dance crew. You do get Taylor Swift and The Agency in the house. The Outspoken One did managed to setup a great looking stage, with an elevated platform. I haven’t seen the turrets from the Fearless Tour on any of the clips. Is this the final look of the stage? We’ll have to see. She managed to surprise the audience a couple of times. We haven’t heard of any on-stage costume changes, but she did change her look several times. She did appear in the middle of the crowd and walked through them shaking hands and giving out hugs.

Here is the set list for the Singapore concert:

    Sparks Fly

  • Mine
  • The Story of Us
  • Back to December/Apologize/You’re Not Sorry
  • Better Than Revenge
  • Speak Now
  • Fearless/I’m Yours
  • Fifteen
  • You Belong with Me
  • Dear John
  • Enchanted
  • Long Live
  • Love Story

After Love Story she exited the stage by jumping into a mattress. She did do the T-Party after! Some lucky Singapore Swifties got to go 🙂

I also expect this set list to vary depending on what time she’s allocated. I hope Tim McGraw gets added back in a longer version, as well as the new tracks Last Kiss and Haunted. Taylor is not bringing along opening acts during the international version, instead she’s picking local talent for the events.

Taylor has been hinting at a different stage since the Fearless Tour, and at creating some elaborated setup (for playing the Speak Now track she’s even thought about a wedding scene). Expect both a new stage and a dance crew for the US/Canada leg of the tour. Hopefully she will also add these for some of the overseas concerts with major venues that can accomodate it.

We’d like to thank Jordan from TaylorSwift.com for the pictures as well as the folks from Taylor Swift On Tour for compiling and sharing feedback from the concert. Nice work!

Want to see the opening? DO NOT PLAY IF YOU DON”T WANT TO SEE IT! Here you go:

Around the world with Taylor Swift :) First CMA Fest performers announced!

Thumbs Up Grant Liz Taylor
(Credit: Taylor Swift)

The Sparkly Dressed posted a picture of Grant Mickelson, Elizabeth Huett and herself after running into a parade in the busy streets of Singapore. The theme? The usual tourist-y thumbs up picture. Cute overload! 🙂

Here at the Swift Agency, where we’re still just one guy who hopes most of the Swifties managed to take advantage of the presales this morning, are happy to see Taylor enjoying herself. We can’t wait until the first concert tomorrow!

We heard about some issues regarding this morning’s presale. Ticketmaster.com was reported to be very slow. Some Swifties had to endure losing their session to restart again. We heard some presales didn’t start at the scheduled time. Some Swifties didn’t get their codes 😦 There’s some kinks to work out here! Perhaps not have that many concert dates’ presales converge the same day? Just a thought.

Remember all the dates that had the presale today will go on sale to the general public on February 11.

The first CMA Fest performers have been announced! The starting line up includes Trace Adkins, Jason Aldean, The Band Perry, Sheryl Crow, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Rascal Flatts, Reba McEntire, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton and Keith Urban. More will be announced at a later date. Taylor Swift is not included in the line up so far. I’m hoping she makes time to make an appearance somehow, but no word yet.

The Outspoken One’s arrival to Singapore! It’s the start of the Speak Now world tour

(Source: Taylorpictures.net)

Singapore Swifties can’t believe it yet. Just yesterday, February 6, Taylor Swift was arriving in Singapore’s airport along with the Agency and the rest of her entourage.

judging by the numerous tweets from The Agency, she wasn’t the only one excited to be there. Grant Mickelson and Elizabeth Huett already went for a run as well as Amos Heller. They’ve been absorbing the local customs and learning a bit of slang and Singlish.

Here’s Taylor’s first ever arrival at Singapore’s airport to the delight of all the local Swifties.

Taylor Swift and Caitlin Evanson were spotted backstage at Janet Jackson’s Singapore concert today, February 7. Her first ever concert in Singapore and the first concert of her Speak Now world tour will take place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on February 9.

To the numerous Swifties involved in tomorrow’s presale, the emails just went out tonight. If you haven’t received your email with the presale info, it should be on its way. Make sure you keep check tonight! All cities involved in the last post should be getting their codes. If you are an email subscriber of mine, you should check the last entry again since it has been updated since the entry was sent.
