Taylor Swift has joined a group of artists that will perform on the Hope for Haiti telethon. The charity event is organized by George Clooney, who teamed up with MTV. The two-hour telethon will be broadcasted this Friday January 22nd to a global audience.
Scheduled to perform are also Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Sting, Wyclef Jean, Bruce Springsteen and Stevie Wonder. You can read more about it at the Country Music Cares website.
Networks showing the telethon are ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, CNN, BET, the CW, HBO, MTV, VH1 and CMT. It will also be available internationally. The show is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. Eastern time and will run commercial-free as reported by Billboard.
Haitian-born entertainer Wyclef Jean will helm the show from New York, and George Clooney will host the Los Angeles part. CNN’s Anderson Cooper will be in Haiti. MTV says there will be musical performances and celebrity appearances.
Thanks to my friend on Twitter, @mansypansy24, for breaking the news to me 🙂
The Fearless One’s latest single, Today Was A Fairytale, is now available on iTunes. I also need to print a correction here, the Valentine’s Day movie opens on February 12, not the 14th. This according to the official website.

I was waiting for you to post this. =) Thank you. I’m definitely watching the event. So glad Tay decided to join. ❤
Am I able to see it if I live in Spain?
Yes, it will even be transmitted through YouTube but all major networks are covering it.
