Don’t say a single vow until you get Speak Now. The single and cover art are released!

Finally, Speak Now is released! No, not the album. Just the single. It’s still an occasion. I must confess it took a little time to get used to it. About the time between the preview and the actual release, as a matter of fact. Now it’s on repeat. The lyrics are genius. Go get it:

I can’t help but hear it and think of Jaron and the Long Road to Love’s Pray for You. No, the melody is not at all reminiscent but there’s the same vein of poking fun at relationship hardships in the lyrics. And a bit of retribution.

You can catch some hidden gems in the single’s cover. Try to find the Agency – her band members in it. So far I have found four: Paul (yelling), Caitlin (as her alter ego Eunice), Amos (taking a pic with a phone) and Mike Meadows (ackward look). No sign of Liz, Al or Grant… can you find them?

The song is actually not to be taken too seriously (no, Taylor has not barged into a wedding, sheesh!), but I’m already picturing a few people that will not get it. Let’s not speak about that now (ha ha). The tune is still growing on me, but the lyrics are a hit. The Fearless One shows a lot of her sense of humor her (with her usual deadpan delivery).  She does laugh at a certain point.

MTV’s The Buried Life’s episode with Taylor Swift was tonight. Duncan managed to get into the CMT Awards with a little help of his friends and get close enough to Taylor to ask her out and pass her his phone number. Update: the pic is of Taylor talking to some of her good friends before Duncan approaches 🙂

She said yes. The rest of the message he kept private from both his pals and the camera crew. Good for Duncan!

Oh, and the other guy (my first time watching the show) tried to ask Carrie Underwood out in front of her fiancee, Mike Fisher. Classy move. Not. The dude should be thanking his lucky stars that Mike Fisher took it in stride. Come to think it, he’s lucky Carrie took it in stride too.

Oh by the way, Taylor made the cover of the upcoming issue of the Glamour magazine. Great cover!
