That is the Freedom Tower at Ground Zero in Manhattan, New York City. It has been lighted up red, white and blue.

Today is the 10th anniversary of the terrorists attacks of September 11, 2001.

This is a celebrity blog. I am not a professional journalist. I am just an amateur. Better and more prepared people have written about the event. I am not an American. I will not attempt to convey a deep insight of what today means. All the same, I can’t ignore it.

My only sister was in New York City and lived through it. That’s not my story to tell.

In remembrance of an event that caused so much death, pain, fear and left people scarred, I want to salute and thank all the people that try to save lives that day and every day, in the US and around the world, even risking their own lives.
