TaylorSwift.com makeover! Taylor Connect forums go down until 2012

Hello Taylor Nation!

It’s true. TaylorSwift.com is getting a website makeover. The forum section of the TaylorSwift.com site will be down starting tomorrow Wednesday, November 16. The forums will return on January 2012. The rest of the site gets a new look. Here’s the official announcement from Taylor Connect Facebook Page:

We are pleased to announce that we are working to upgrade Taylor Connect to help enhance your experience within the forums and the Taylor Swift community.

As Taylor Connect looks forward to celebrating its 2nd birthday in December, we plan to launch a new community and forum features that will make the Taylor Connect you’ve come to know and love the best it’s ever been.

Beginning Wednesday, November 16, Taylor Connect will be temporarily unavailable while we implement these upgrades. In the meantime, we will keep you updated with all news surrounding the re-launch on the official Taylor Connect Facebook page and TaylorNation13 Twitter account. The new Taylor Connect forums and community will be launched in January 2012 on TaylorSwift.com.

It’s no secret that Taylor has the best fans in the world, and we know that you’ll be as excited as we are about the next phase of the Taylor Connect online community!

Update: I’m aware the TaylorSwift.com site says “As Taylor Connect looks forward to celebrating its 2nd birthday in December, we plan to launch…” unfortunately it’s not saying that’s the date of the new launch. More updates as we get them.

Do not panic. The forums will be back. Additionally, the TaylorSwift.com will get a new look and the store goes into Christmas mode (officially “holiday items” but I can say Christmas because I’m just a guy).

This is not an official endorsement (I am not an official site, remember?) but in the meantime there’s a few non-official alternatives if you still want to do some forum posting:

Again, I’m only providing these for your convenience only. The only official replacement and source of news of when the site will be up is the Taylor Connect Facebook Page. For news, you can still rely on TaylorSwift.com, @TaylorSwiftNews, @TaylorNation13 or… perhaps this blog? Just a thought.
