Can you feel this magic in the air?

Taylor Swift’s latest song, Today Was A Fairytale, releases on iTunes tomorrow, January 19th. The entire Valentine’s Day soundtrack is released on February 9th.

And speaking about that, Back in April of 2009, Taylor was talking to Allure magazine via People as reported by JustJared, Jr. (see that? I track down my sources, not like other blogs I could mention! Ahem, sorry).  She had this to say about fairy tales:

“I have always been fascinated with fairy tales, and the idea that Prince Charming is just one castle away. And you’re gonna run across a field and meet each other in the middle, and have an amazing, perfect movie kiss. And it’s gonna be happily ever after.”

Fast forward to midnight tonight, and the Fearless One gets one more song to add to all the ones that fans make their favorite overnight. And I mean, literally overnight.

We here at the Swift Agency (again, I’m just one guy – ok this joke is getting old) will be among the fans who will wait for midnight for iTunes to make the tune available.  I just hope iTunes Canada is releasing it as well. There’s no play-by-play here, but you’re welcome to join us on Twitter.  I’m @TheSwiftAgency there.

And speaking about the Agency… it’s been a while since I reported anything about its band members.

After four days, the NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) 2010 convention wrapped up in Anaheim, California. It lasted from January 14 through the 17. LA Times covered the event, which is exclusive to only insiders and members of the music industry.

T-Swifty was not attending. She has attended in the past to promote Taylor Guitars.  Don’t be concerned though, they were well covered with the legendary group Night Ranger to play at their booth.

But although the Fearless One didn’t attend, The Agency did had some representation visiting the convention.

Grant Mickelson and Paul Sidoti, members of The Agency and legends in their own right, did attend the event and posted their adventures through Twitter.

I’m always a bit hesitant to blog stuff that I learn from Twitter directly from Tay or The Agency. Most of the time it feels like a private thing or inside jokes that you’d need a lot of back history to understand. It’s actually a bit silly since what I can see is in the public timeline but I don’t feel right quoting them directly into an article. The quotes on the right column are RSS feeds that pull automatically from Twitter. They are @GrantMickelson and @PaulSidoti on Twitter.

I will say Grant got a shiny new guitar.
