Taylor’s summer cards and Cavendish Fest starts

The Fearless One is looking very patriotic, don’t you think? Tay went all out for the Fourth of July.

Welcome to summer! We here at the Swift Agency are taking a break from the heat at our busy Montreal office and are now reporting from our mobile HQ stationed in Prince Edward Island.

No, there is no office. I’m just one guy who talks too much.

Us magazine is reporting Taylor’s partnership with American Greetings is bringing more cards out for the summer. This line of summer cards is cool, but do expect availability to be an issue. Some Swifties still report they can’t find the original line yet at their local stores.

I’ve been wanting to do a story on artist merchandising in general. Not to go all parental on you guys, but sometimes we have to pick what we can get. I don’t think the biggest fan is the one with more stuff.

The Cavendish Beach Music Festival kicked off tonight, Wednesday July 7. It was a bit slow as the big international artists are not taking the stage yet. The headliner tonight was Slow Coaster, a Canadian country band that mixes in honky tonk, blues and reggae in their performance. Quite a good mix for summer. Despite a dwindling crowd, they had a lot of fans in the audience.

Tomorrow there will be a jump in the population as Gloriana opens and Keith Urban is the big headliner on Thursday evening. Little Big Town kicks off the weekend as the headliner on Friday. I expect an even greater crowd on Saturday though…

The Fearless One is expected as the headliner at the Cavendish Beach Music Festival on Saturday, July 10th. Tara Oram will be her opening act.
