That’s her sitting on a large chair (a Dr. Evil chair as described by the Sparkly Dressed herself) at the airport before leaving Japan. As reported by MTV News from the Teen Choice Awards, Taylor Swift won a few surfboards. Those are awards. Because they’re surfboards. Ok, if you didn’t know that chances are you’re not interested anyways.
From what we heard on Twitter, T-Swizzle won four Choice awards: Breakout Female (Movie), Country Song, Country Album and Female Country Artist. Lady Gaga won for Choice Female Artist. Katy Perry did the hosting duties, coming out in several costumes along with her co-hosts: Cory Monteith, Mark Salling, Kevin McHale and Chris Colfer. Lady Antebellum won for Choice Country Group.
Mentioned in MTV News as one of the highlights, Tay’s acceptance speech was via a remote recording. The usually Sparkly Dressed had donned a wet suit instead. She apparently attempted to surf using her award. On a lake. Without waves. No, I don’t have a video. From what I hear, she even said hello to friends Selena Gomez and Taylor Lautner. Something to watch for tonight.
The Fearless One is scheduled to appear via a pre-recorded segment (given that the entire show already took place, everything is recorded so it really doesn’t matter) at the Teen Choice Awards that took place yesterday, Sunday 8. The show finally airs tonight, Monday, August 9, at 8pm ET/10pm PT on Fox.
