We’ll just have to wait to see it. Tonight’s preview and Taylor’s jedi mind trick.

We here at the Swift Agen- okey, we’re going to skip on the usual bad joke tonight because we’re bummed out a bit.

In case you’re thinking of staying up one minute after midnight tonight (12:01 October 4) to watch Taylor Swift’s Speak Now track 30 second preview, I have some possible bad news you probably don’t know yet. If you’re  a Comcast customer, congratulations. If you’re not, and I know for a fact that most people aren’t, you’re out of luck. You probably remember that besides the Comcast cable service, there was going to be an online broadcast in Xfinitytv.com. The problem is that even if you make an account on that website, you will need a Comcast customer account associated to it to watch it. I’m telling you because I tried it.

The rest of people will have to contend with E! News broadcasting the clip in the evening and of course the interview segment to go along with  it. Unless you don’t have E!, in which case you will have to wait until it shows up on YouTube or until October 5 to just purchase Speak Now (the song) on iTunes.

On to other matters now, it seems although Tay has left the whole VMA mess behind in the most Taylor-esque way (that is with a song). The media still feels obligated to bring up the subject. Taylor has moved on, the rapper whose name I still can’t say appears to have moved on, but a year and change and related questions still pop up in interviews. Thankfully, the Fearless One has one ancient skill in her arsenal that she hasn’t used since the days she got asked if she was dating Taylor Lautner: a rather enigmatic stare that lets the person who’s asking the question know these are not the droids that you’re looking for.

Just see it in action when the reporter attempts to ask if he-who-shall-not-be-name apologized in person during the VMAs:

If that is not evidence that the Force is strong with the Fearless One, I don’t know what is.

The video is used as a promo for True Country’s iPhone app. It’s free. The iPhone is not. It’s rather expensive actually. Unless you sign up for a plan. Then the plan is expensive. But the app doesn’t cost you a penny, and it’s available at iTunes Canada too. If you have an iPod Touch or an iPad you can have it too. For more information, go to TrueCountry.tv.

Coming up! Direct from our Calendar:

  • October 4: Speak Now (the song) will get a 30-second preview on Comcast On Demand and XfinityTv.com starting one minute past midnight. E! News will show a clip and interview in the evening.
  • October 5: Speak Now (the song)  goes on sale on iTunes.
