Taylor Swift on Dancing With The Stars and Speak Now reaches the million sales!

It will become more than official tomorrow, but with numbers already past the million according to HitsDailyDouble.com, Speak Now is officially past the one million sales mark, meaning it’s already platinum in just its first week.  The magic number last entered today is 1,044,477 which may not be the complete tally. Yes, you can all continue jumping 🙂

According to Entertainment Weekly, Taylor joins a rather eclectic group: Lil Wayne, the Backstreet Boys, and Garth Brooks. It’s very rare that she’s another country atist, the first female and most important in this day and age that the music industry is in a steep decline, she might just have made music history. Again. At this point I’d say she’s big enough that nobody can hurt her anymore.

Taylor Swift performed on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars and I have to say, she was one of the highlights of the show. The programming kept getting cut by election news, but fortunately it didn’t bother the broadcast – or at least the part of the broadcast I wanted to see.

Here’s the Outspoken One’s performance of Mine:

For the encore, Taylor brought out her classic White Horse. We’d love to have heard a new tune, but I’m guessing they wanted something slow. She performed Mine earlier. Watch out for the bit at the end in which the host “faints” – didn’t care for his part, but Taylor proves herself a much better announcer.

Next time, hit them with Better Than Revenge. I’m kidding. Mostly.

The other highlight was when she was given the microphone and had to take over announcer duties. However, during those minutes she had the mike as well as during her performances the show was actually entertaining.
