Our congratulations to the CMA Vocal Group of the Year, Lady Antebellum! Hillary, Charles and Dave you guys rock. The group took both the Vocal Group and the Single of the Year for Need You Now. Take a look at their Webisode Wednesday video π

We were rooting for them to get Entertainer of the Year, but we can’t disagree with the fact that it was about time that Brad Paisley received the award after being nominated for five. So our congratulations to Brad Paisley on a well deserved win π We – meaning me, the one person who’s responsible for doing anything around here – are looking forward to seeing Brad in concert when he comes to Montreal at the end of January.
Lady Antebellum are expected on Chicago, Omaha and Kansas City, on November 18, 19 and 20 respectively. They are also nominated for the American Music Awards.
On other news, apparently news were a bit slow andΒ someone decided that Susan Boyle’s Christmas album coming out was the start of a ‘blood feud’ between her and the Outspoken One. No, Susan didn’t sell more than a million records. Or even half of that. She sold 318,000. But Taylor Swift’s Speak Now sold 212,000 on the week that Susan’s The Gift came out. So it’s completely fair to compare… no, that doesn’t sound fair to me at all. Yes, I will give The Gift props for opening on top on its debut week. No, it has not surpassed the Speak Now opening sales mark by not even close to the distance between here and the moon. Sounds like someone wants to stir up the Taylor Nation. You can read about it at Headline Planet and the New York Post.
Ninja department, I might have a task for you…

yes, it’s a bit funny that people want to compare a Christmas album to a mainstream album.
JOSH GROBAN – Noel : at 5 million album sales and counting is the proper comparison.
Both Taylor and Susan Boyle will have their hands full competing against Eminem and Lady A. Taylor may prevail in the long run, but the 2010 calendar year is going to be difficult to reach # 1.
