The good news first! Taylor Swift won the American Music Award for Country Female Artist.
Now you can breathe. The Outspoken One made the red carpet, but manage to go unnoticed by the interviewers from the Ustream event, so major fail points to them for missing her. Yes, she was going with her straight look, which is commonly associated to her Back To December single. She had an early cool moment in the show as Enrique Iglesias was performing. You could see her getting her groove on when the camera captures her.
But of course the moment was hers when she won the award for her Country Female Artist. “Thank you so much. I only wanna thank the fans,” said Taylor. “I think it’s something really wonderful and rare to be understood and to my fans I just wanna say: you guys get me and you know where I’m coming from and I can’t thank you enough for that and thanks for giving me so much love for this new album and also for giving me so much to be thankful for Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving to you guys and I love you so much!”
Taylor Swift’s performance of Back to December was a high point of the night. She came down on a piano suspended from above and during her performance she incorporated part of the music and lyrics from Apologize.
