The Outspoken One was named MTV News #3 Woman of the Year. Good for MTV, they only missed their mark by two places.
Detailing her accomplishments of the current year, you can recall her first People’s Choice Award, her four Grammys, her cameo on Valentine’s Day, the announcement of the oncoming success that would be Speak Now, she won an American Music Awards and got recognized by CMT as one of the Artists of the Year.
According to People, Taylor’s 21st birthday celebration at her family’s home in Hendersonville, Tennessee. She was surrounded by her family, her friends, her band and her crew. Taylor and her mom, Andrea, prepared appetizers and had catered sushi for everyone. Taylor even got gifts for everybody and directed a “dirty santa” gift exchange. In case you’ve never heard of this game, the first person picks a gift and opens it, the next person has the choice to steal any of the gifts that had been opened or pick a new one. It makes for a hilarious time, although on certain families it may turn sour (yeah… don’t ask me how). Apparently (this one of those stories that comes from an “unnamed source”) the game was very spirited.

I just love her when she tries to save face knowing it’s a lost battle. She still tries though 🙂
In other news, Grant Mickelson will be featured in a full page ad for Tone Pros inside the pages of Vintage Guitar for the month of February 2011. Grant himself posted a scan of his advance issue. We will make sure to report about it again when it comes out. I just wanted to make sure I don’t forget in case it doesn’t get here.
