Hello, Taylor Nation. It’s editorial time. That means I get to talk a lot. Run awayyyy.
The Sparkly Dressed is sick… and I’m dreading the part where people start doubting her, but there’s not much I can do. I am not going to ask you to trust Taylor blindly.
Because I certainly don’t. Not blindly, that is.
I trust Taylor because she has a history of being extremely nice to her fans. I trust her because there is evidence she has usually told the truth. I trust her because she has being pretty vocal about her love for fans and her love for stage. She is not doing concerts reluctantly by any stretch of the imagination. She embraces the fact that she has a large following and would rather perform sick than not.

I believe Taylor has made mistakes like everyone else. However, her character is usually pretty sound and regarding her career she’s a professional that would rather put herself at risk than disappoint you. She still has a responsibility to all of her fans. That means that she can’t risk herself endangering her health anymore to give you one more concert if it means missing the next ten.
It really sucks for the fans in Louisville, Kentucky. I completely understand. But the fans in Charlotte, North Carolina should be really happy and thankful she’s trying to recover well enough to continue her tour. I know that for the citizens of the Taylor Nation that were traveling all the way to Louisville it’s specially taxing to suddenly have to change their plans or cancel their stay.

I know some will be tempted to direct their frustration at her. To a point, it’s understandable. So if you see someone lashing out at Taylor because of this, don’t try lashing back. Just let them get it out of their system. If they are fans, they will eventually reconcile their feelings. If they are not fans and are only trying to taunt you into replying something mean back, well you didn’t give them the satisfaction.
Trust is a very difficult thing to earn, and very easy thing to lose. Please remember that not everyone out there in the internet is trustable… I don’t want to make you paranoid but you should be careful with people you don’t know.

One of Taylor’s first causes when she was starting out was to protect young kids out in the internet. The truth is everyone needs to be careful out here – but not afraid. If you make a friend online, just make sure you don’t give them out your name and address the very first day. Actually, make sure you get to know them first and make sure you tell your parents about your new friend. Even us older fans sometimes have to be careful with whom we trust out there.
And speaking about trust, I should mention the meet and greets as well as the T-Party are not for sale. Big, big warning here: they are not for sale ever. If someone claims to be selling tickets for meet and greets and/or the T-Party they are not part of Taylor’s team. Same with the pit or backstage passes.
Note: Actually some of the venues do make pit passes available for purchase. That being said, please check with the venue just to make sure.

“I believe Taylor has made mistakes like everyone else. However, her character is usually pretty sound and regarding her career she’s a professional that would rather put herself at risk than disappoint you.”
Are people actually thinking that she acted reckless or did something stupid to get herself too sick to perform? I just wouldn’t believe that for a second.
There are no “doubters” who read your blogs from the Swift Agency! Only true Swifties…who hope that Taylor takes the time to get better!
