So, I was thinking of the ACAs last night and had a thought. I thought of people like the incredible Martina McBride, that lately gets nominated but doesn’t win… or the very talented Mallary Hope who is so close to her big break and I’d just love to hear a nomination for her. And then I get happy for groups that finally get an award like Thompson Square. Everyone just deserves their time in the spotlight. Taylor is still CMA’s Entertainer of the Year. She will be ok 🙂
The People’s Choice Awards 2012 will air Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012 at 9/8c on CBS. Taylor is nominated for Favorite Country Artist, Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Tour Headliner.

- December 13: The CMT Artists Of The Year event honoring Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley and Taylor Swift airs on CMT at 9PM ET/PT.
- December 29:Paul Sidoti, Amos Heller and Mike Meadows along with other musicians will perform at Tequila Sunrise – A Tribute to the Eagles at the House of Blues in Cleveland, Ohio. I really wish I could go to this one, but it’s during the holiday season. Here’s the event on Facebook.
- January 11: People’s Choice Awards 2012. Taylor is nominated for Favorite Country Artist, Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Tour Headliner.

Y’know, you’re entirely right!! There are artists out there who really deserve a nomination at least but haven’t made it yet. I know Taylor doesn’t count on awards or see them as a measure of her popularity and appreciation of her talent. We show her that appreciation by buying her music and flocking to her concerts.
Thank you for helping to put my disappointment into perspective.
That said…Peoples Choice Awards…here she comes!! 😉

I hope she realises that she makes so many people light up and smile, she brings colour back to grey days..
