On a history book page: The Outspoken One gives the gift of reading

Hello Taylor Nation!

The Sparkly Dressed does a very impressive amount of charity work. The amazing thing is that for every donation we hear about, there’s a few more she does quietly. T-Swizzle has donated 14,000 books from Scholastic to the Nashville Public Library, reports Taste of Country.

Soon to be distributed across the Nashville Public Library’s many branches, the books carry a donation plate on the inside that reads: “A Gift to the Children of Nashville from Taylor Swift and Scholastic Inc.”

Besides the ones put into circulation, a number of the books will be given away to children from families with low income. Others will be used as rewards in summer reading programs for kids in preschools and daycare centers.

You can read the original story in Taste of Country.

On other news that are not really news anymore, the rumor that Taylor was up for a role became a non-issue now that another actress has been confirmed to play it. However, some websites are now using the angle that the Blonde With The Sparkly Guitar was dropped from the role (because it’s more dramatic, I guess). There’s no evidence that the role was even offered to her. So please, relax and take a coffee break. Perhaps listen to a tune or two.

Or try beatboxing 🙂

Okey, she fails at beatboxing. You gotta admit though, she’s adorable at trying!

  1. I like to think that there may have been a scheduling problem with Les Mis rehearsals and filming conflicting with Taylor’s other commitments such as Grammy week and her tour in Australia and NZ.
