Hello Taylor Nation!
Here at the Swift Agency, still one guy who will be enchanted to blog about the Blonde With The Sparkly Guitar, we’ll be serious this time. Everyone knows someone that has had their lives changed and even ended by cancer. It’s an unforgiving, painful and merciless disease. The Stand Up 2 Cancer telethon will be a benefit event broadcasted across all major US networks. Tune in at 8 PM ET/PT or 7 PM CT to watch the show.
According to TaylorSwift.com, the Princess in Red will debut a new song tonight. Ronan is a song composed by Taylor with lyrics inspired by the blog of Maya Thompson, who is credited as a co-writer. The song is for Ronan Thompson, a 3-year-old boy who died last year of neuroblastoma. You can read his story here. He inspired the creation of The Ronan Thompson Foundation. The song will be available for purchase on iTunes after the performance with all proceeds donated to cancer-related charities.
Don’t forget the Princess in Red will perform at the Stand Up To Cancer Telethon at 8pm ET on Friday, September 7! The telethon will be broadcast on all major US TV networks. Stars and volunteers will be standing by to take phone donations.
