The Academy of Country Music Awards announced the Top New Artist contenders. Gloriana (brothers Tom and Mike Gossin plus Rachel Reinert and Cheyenne Kimball) wins for Top new Vocal Group. Luke Bryan and Joey + Rory also win Top New Solo Vocalist and Top New Vocal Duo respectively. The three winners now become nominees for the Top New Artist award the night of the awards.
In case you live under a rock, Gloriana and the Fearless One have a long association as the opening band to the Fearless Tour 2009 and 2010, along with American Idol alumni Kellie Pickler.
The 45th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards will be broadcasted live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday April 18, 2010 at 8:00 PM live ET/delayed PT on CBS.
