Good Morning Swift Nation! The final CMA nominations were announced today in Good Morning America by Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley. Lady Antebellum is nominated for Entertainer of the Year! Congratulations to Dave Haywood, Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott. Also up for the award are Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban and the Zac Brown Band. Taylor Swift has been nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year. Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will host CMA Awards take place November 10 at the Bridgestone Arena and air live on ABC at 8/7c.
While I do feel that Taylor Swift should get a nomination for Entertainer, I can see why the CMA opted for the artists that have shone with new material this year. I love to see Taylor have a nomination for Female Vocalist. Brad Paisley should receive at least Male Vocalist if not Entertainer for reviving his tour after the Nashville floods and putting on great shows. Lady Antebellum more than deserves Entertainer of the Year after being featured everywhere as well as Vocal Group of the Year. Brooks and Dunn are still in the run, so Sugarland is not home free yet (although they won last year).
