They’ll judge it like they know about me and you. An editorial.

We here at the Swift Agency are celebrating that although we’re still doing the overused joke of acting like a news agency when we’re just one person, the readership of this blog is still up.

A little more seriously, but not too much, I’m really happy about last night. Yes, Taylor won an award and we had a chance to see her present as well, but more important than that she was out with her peers and actually enjoyed herself.

I’m really happy for her 🙂

I said I wasn’t going to blog about it, but I’ve got people asking me about it left and right so I’ve chosen to address it briefly. It seems Taylor and Jake have broken up. That’s all I will say about it. A lot of websites out there are speculating on the details. You don’t need to do that. I’m certainly not going to do that. You don’t know what you don’t know.

What is really important is that Taylor is happy and that’s what I want this blog entry about. There was a part during her acceptance speech in which I couldn’t help but remember Tied Together With A Smile until she was more than thankful for the trophy because it comes from our votes. It was a moment in which Taylor felt her fanbase coming together to support her.  Whether she knew before or not, I don’t care about. She was genuinely moved about it. Not to mention the fact that she had Elton John to receive the award from in one of the classiest moments of the night.

You might also be interested in knowing she did run into Cory Monteith and regardless of whether that old rumor was ever true or not, there was no drama and they had no problem talking and sharing a hug.

Yes, there’s a picture where Cory and Tay actually hug but I have no access to it. I’m already pushing the envelope a bit including all these pictures, but I sincerely think they do help the commentary.

One of the reasons that I know Taylor will keep herself grounded is that she keeps her family close. If you didn’t know… where were you then? Sorry, just kidding. Just in case you didn’t know, she was sitting with her brother Austin at the People’s Choice Awards ceremony yesterday, January 5. Taylor always takes someone different with her to the awards just to make sure everyone gets to have a little fun (she even had Caitlin Evanson sitting with her during the CMAs of 2010),  and of course to have a little fun herself.

She later continued the fun theme when she ran into Ellen Degeneres at the Covergirl’s 50th anniversary party. That’s what I love about her. She’s never afraid to act like a goof and I like that she keeps people around that encourage that behavior. Having the ability to laugh at yourself means you’ll never run out of reasons to be happy.

Coming up in the Calendar!
