The Outspoken One got three nominations for the CMT Music Awards. She’s up for Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year for Mine and Best Web Video of the Year for the online performance of Mine during the Speak Now release party webcast special. The awards were announced today by Evan Farmer on NBC’s Today show. You can read the full story on CMT.com.
Jason Aldean garnered the most nominations with four awards and we here think that’s about darn time. The guy has been really making an impact for a while, he doesn’t need awards, he deserves them. Also a deserving three nominations to Lady Antebellum, and some big cheers for the big first nomination to The Civil Wars for their Barton Hollow video.
The 10 nominee list for Video of the Year will be reduced to five nominations through online voting for the broadcast, with the winner announced at the end of the show. You know the drill. Go vote! The Ninja Department is on route to your place right now to issue a friendly reminder 🙂
The CMT Music Awards will be broadcast June 8, on CMT at 8/7c (8pm eastern, 7pm central).
