Speak Now in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The Enchantress was an American Girl!

Hello Taylor Nation, The Speak Now Tour is garnering great reviews! With comparisons to Pink Floyd, Broadway and Glee, you should read this great article on Billboard.com. Realize though it does disclose some concert details.

Here at the Swift Agency, one guy bound for Nashville and the CMA Fest and still not packed, couldn’t be happier (ok, actually we will be happier next week). The Outspoken One brought the house down in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida with her Speak Now Tour once again. She’s bound for a repeat as she plays the Bank Atlantic Center again tonight, June 3. The new lyrics on the Sparkly Dressed’s arm are straight out of American Girl by Tom Petty: “And for one desperate moment there he crept back in her memory.” I’m a fan of Tom Petty as well, so this is a treat. If you have ever been to one of Lady Antebellum’s concerts you probably have heard them do covers of his songs.

On other news, you should really have a read at the excellent interview from USA Weekend. Sometimes, I don’t know if it’s the way the questions are phrased or not, but Taylor opens up more and we get a little more insight we didn’t have before.

I’m not going to quote the whole thing so I’ll include one quote from Taylor’s answer regarding writing about her private life:

If something has affected me deeply, I’m going to write about it. I don’t put much of a filter on.

I’ve written songs that were just anger rants. I don’t usually play them for anyone, but it’s nice to write them and rhyme that person’s name with literally every horrible thing you can think of.

You can also read this even more extensive compilation from the Latest Taylor News page taken from the magazine. The geek in me loved this quote when the Outspoken One answers what kind of superhero power she’d like to have:

Healing people. Being able to heal people would be an amazing superpower. You don’t really need mind-reading. If you had mind-reading, you’d go crazy from what people actually think of you. That was what I thought of first, but I couldn’t handle mind-reading. Nobody ever give me mind-reading!

This Saturday, June 4 (aaaah! I gotta pack!) CMT will present the CMT Music Awards Video of the Year special hosted by Laura Bell Bundy. It’s not an awards show, just a video special about all the nominees’ entries. According to CMT.com she will perform skits impersonating Jason Aldean, Zac Brown, Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles, Taylor Swift and a coach from Kenny Chesney’s “The Boys of Fall” video. We should be in Nashville by then, so Laura better be kind to Taylor. I’ve yet to see someone do a good impersonation of the Blond With The Sparkly Guitar. I might have to pack an extra ninja or two.
