The 2011 BMI Country Awards: The Outspoken One gets three!

The 59th BMI Country Awards took place at the BMI offices in Music Row, Nashville tonight, November 9. The Outspoken One received three awards for each of her songwriting skills for Back To December, Mean and Fearless. She penned Fearless with Liz Rose. All three songs won under the category of Award-Winning songs most performed on U.S. radio and television.

Songwriter of the Year went to both Rhett Atkins and Dallas Davidson, with Song of the Year going to All Over Me. Bobby Braddock was honored as BMI songwriting icon. He’s known for crafting songs like, “He Stopped Loving Her Today,” “People Are Crazy,” “D-I-V-O-R-C-E,” “I Wanna Talk About Me,” “I Feel Like Loving You Again,” “Texas Tornado,” “Old Flames Have New Names,” “Golden Ring,” “Thinkin’ of a Rendezvous,” among others.

Did you know that the American Music Awards voting ends this Friday? The Enchantress has been announced to perform at the awards ceremony on November 2o. Don’t forget to vote for Taylor Swift for Artist of the Year, Country Music Favorite Female Artist and Country Music Favorite Album.

  1. This is when I hate living on the west coast. We get the show at 8 pm too. I guess I’ll just go on a walk during the show and listen to Taylor on my iPod. Then I won’t see anything about who won. And yes, I can walk three hours. I just walked 2-1/2 tonight.
