The Grammy nominations have been announced. The Sparkly Dressed gets three nominations!
- Best Country Album for Speak Now.
- Best Country Song for Mean.
- Best Country Solo Performance for Mean.
Lady Antebellum is also up for Best Country Album for Own The Night. Also, our friends The Civil Wars are up for Best Folk Album for Barton Hollow and Best Country Duo/Group Performance for Barton Hollow’s track.
The 54th Annual Grammy Awards will take place February 12, 2012, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The show will be broadcast live on CBS from 8:00pm to 11:30pm ET/PT.
The People’s Choice Awards 2012 will air Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012 at 9/8c on CBS. Taylor is nominated for Favorite Country Artist, Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Tour Headliner. You can VOTE every day.
The American Country Awards air on December 5! The rest of the polls are closed, but you can still vote for Taylor for Artist of the Year!

- December 2: 2011 Billboard Women in Music ceremony in New York City. Taylor will receive the Women of the Year award.

The Sparkly Dressed is up for Artist of the Year, Artist of the Year Female, Album of the Year for Speak Now, Single of the Year Female for Mean, Touring Headline Package of the Year and Music Video Female for Back To December.

- December 13: The CMT Artists Of The Year event honoring Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley and Taylor Swift airs on CMT at 9PM ET/PT.
- December 29:Paul Sidoti, Amos Heller and Mike Meadows along with other musicians will perform at Tequila Sunrise – A Tribute to the Eagles at the House of Blues in Cleveland, Ohio. I really wish I could go to this one, but it’s during the holiday season. Here’s the event on Facebook.

I’m thrilled at Taylors 3 Grammy noms in the Country categories, but seriously… what about album of the year, record of the year and song of the year?
I’m a little cranky she wasn’t considered in these categories!!
I agree but country music as a whole was screwed in the Grammy nominations. What can we do? All I know is I’m doing everything I can to get her the three People’s Choice awards she’s up for. The last two days alone I’ve placed 24,000 votes for Taylor. I’m at 67,000 total votes. I hope everyone else is voting. We have to at least do what we can on the ones we get a say. The voting on the People’s Choice ends next Tuesday, Dec. 6th. My number to hit for it is 100,000.

Yes, I am very disappointed at Taylor’s snubs by the Grammy’s. I suppose the Grammy’s don’t like to reward the same people. I’m pretty sure she’ll win all three of these awards. I think she’s be due in the next couple albums for another AOTY.
I do wonder though if she hurt herself because of that performance with Stevie Nicks. Just being realistic.
The way I see the Stevie Nicks incident is Taylor was just nervous. It wasn’t even a good stage from what I remember. I only watched the video once but I think the bad was right behind them. Taylor has had a couple performances that weren’t good. And a lot that were great. Some people think she has to be perfect. I wonder if those same people ever have a bad day? Can they sing in front of an audience like that with a rock legend? Doubtful. Anyone who holds that against Taylor is just a bad person who is clueless.
I just hit 70,000 votes for Taylor today. I feel guilty though. I only got in 3,000 votes. That seems low after I got in 24,000 the last two days. I need to get 30,000 more the next four days I guess.
