Hello Taylor Nation,
The 54th Annual Grammy Awards will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The ceremony will be broadcast live on CBS from 8:00pm to 11:30pm ET/delayed PT.
Here are Taylor Swift’s nominations:
- Best Country Album for Speak Now.
- Best Country Song for Mean.
- Best Country Solo Performance for Mean.
The Grammy Live website will probably be the official red carpet stream to watch. It’s not embeddable so, you will need to go here (no region lock). The non-televised awards will be shown there as well. MTV Ustream will also have a camera crew on the red carpet.
Update! Taylor Swift wins for Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song for Mean. Incidentally, the Civil Wars also won for for Best Country Duo/Group Performance and Best Folk Album for Barton Hollow.
The Civil Wars will take the stage to sing a brief version of Barton Hollow and then proceed to introduce Taylor Swift. The Outspoken One will be singing a re-tooled version of Mean. Grammy Awards Executive Producer Ken Ehrlich tells Central Wisconsin Hub that the version “is absolutely delicious. She’s done the song on other shows, but never like this.” Can’t wait to hear this. There is no mention of a Safe And Sound performance but it’s definite possibility.
However, the show’s plans are changing as we speak as a tribute to Whitney Houston who passed away just recently on Saturday, February 11 is getting included into the awards ceremony.
That’s just the beginning of a busy week for the Outspoken One. TV Press Feed reports she will be a guest on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Monday, February 20.
