Hello, Taylor Nation!
Here at the Swift Agency, one guy who has actually tried to get an interview with the Blonde With The Sparkly Guitar, we know the score. Trying to get a moment with the Outspoken One takes lots of luck, and getting her to be your date to your prom? Really, those things don’t happen in the real world… but in the Taylor Nation, the rules do work a little differently.
Kevin McGuire is a high school student, a senior at Sterling High School. He’s battling cancer. He wanted to have Taylor Swift be his date to his high school prom. His sister, Victoria, created this event page to create a buzz and make his wish come true:

The Queen of Sparks did one better. With a busy schedule, she opted to invite the eighteen year old to be her date… at the ACM Awards in Las Vegas on April 1st.
Kevin was undergoing treatment at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia when he got the answer. A CBS Philadelphia crew was there interviewing him and had the chance to capture his reaction and his response on video. Sorry, I can’t embed it.
