The New Jersey high school senior, Kevin McGuire, is anxiously awaiting the day of the ACM Awards for a different reason than most Swifties. He’s the Outspoken One’s date to the awards show.
You might recall the story. Kevin was undergoing cancer treatment when he heard the news, the Enchantress could not accept his offer to go to his prom but made him a counter offer: be her date to the ACM Awards. According to the Courier Post, it depends on his health. He has fought his leukemia into remission but his blood count must be up in order to make that flight to Las Vegas. Here at the Swift Agency, one guy who’s really hoping all is safe and sound for him to join the Enchantress at the ACM Awards, we know the entire Taylor Nation will be hoping he makes it there. Update! Unfortunately, the latest from Kevin McGuire’s Facebook page run by his sister, Victoria, is that Kevin was admitted into the hospital and he won’t be able to attend. This is devastating, but unfortunately it’s common in the life of a cancer patient. Taylor is also sad about the news and we’re hoping she can make it up to him as soon as he’s feeling better.
