Hello Taylor Nation, well done!!!
The 47th ACM Awards just aired live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Taylor Swift won the biggest award of the night: she is once more, the ACM Entertainer of the Year.
The show started with Carrie Underwood performing her new single Good Girl. Then Blake Shelton and Reba took the stage for their opening jokes… Taylor got away light, here. They said she had been on a date with Tim Tebow (shot of Taylor mouthing what?) and then Blake added they now knew what Tim had been praying for. Plus Blake had to poke fun at her surprise face saying that her next fragrance was going to be called (mock surprise) I can’t believe I smell this good. Hey it’s not like they made her believe she had put a boat on fire and ruined a wedding…
Strangely enough, there was a wedding on stage. Only in Vegas! But meanwhile we got to listen to Martina McBride and Train’s frontman Pat Monahan signing Marry Me.
Mean was nominated for Video of the Year, but lost to Toby Keith’s Red Solo Cup. Female Vocalist of the Year went to Miranda Lambert, who also picked the award for Album of the Year. The Sparkly Dressed herself was the presenter for Male Vocalist of the Year, which went to Blake Shelton. The Enchantress did return to the stage one more time, after hugging Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean and Kenny Chesney on her way over there. Let’s go to the video!
