Taylor Swift will present at the CMT Awards

There’s no award show like a country music one. They feel like a small family reunion. They’re all in good fun and they’re all about keeping things simple. We’re actually happy Taylor shows up for them and frankly, starting to care less about awards that just want to put trash and scandal on the TV.

To quote Monty Python (very controversial but talented comedy troupe, it was before your time), I don’t know how people can have sex on the television, every time I try I keep falling off.

The Fearless One will be on hand at the CMT Awards, but solely as a presenter. She will be joining the likes of Laura Bell Bundy, Gloriana, Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Kellie Pickler and Blake Shelton, as reported by CMT.com. In a strange move that betrays CMT’s affiliation to the MTV networks, there will be other people presenting including personalities from the Jersey Shore. What the bleep? Argh. Hopefully they won’t stick around.

Kid Rock is the host tomorrow. He’s a bit nervous about doing live television, but he’s looking forward to seeing Carrie Underwood. Or at least her legs. You can read about it on the CMT blog.

Taylor Swift will be present at the CMA Music Fest on June 13 for a 13-hour Meet & Greet including an acoustic performance. If you’re going and get to give her a hug, could I ask you hug her one extra second and say it comes from me? Thanks 🙂
