The CMA Festival: Country’s Night To Rock is on Wednesday, September 1st on ABC at 8/7c. For Swifties everywhere, we’ll get to see takes from her 13-hour Meet & Greet and the secret performance of Mine that only a few Swifites could attend.
The first batch of the CMA Award nominations will be announced tomorrow, August 31st, by Justin Moore and Chris Young at 8:00am Nashville time (Central Daylight Time) from the Ryman Auditorium. If you live in Nashville, I envy you – sorry I mean, you can attend. The doors are open and the seating will be done in a first come, first serve basis. Country duo Steel Magnolia will announce the CMA Broadcast Award finalists. Coming up this Wednesday, September 1st, we will have Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley announcing the final nominee categories during Good Morning America on ABC.

It was almost a year ago that all the top categories for the CMA Awards were swifted- I mean, swept away by one country singer. She was wearing a sparkly dress if I remember correctly. Flash forward and we’re taking on the world toge- blah, sorry. Flash forward a year and we’re closing in to the 44th CMA Awards (November 10, live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, to air on ABC). Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will host. Taylor Swift doesn’t have an album out, so brace yourselves… expecting a nomination this year is a bit of a stretch. I still fully expect the Fearless One to attend.
On September 9, Taylor Swift will perform at kickoff time in New Orleans for the Saints vs. Vikings game to be broadcast on NBC at 7:30pm ET.
