The Outspoken One’s current city of choice is Los Angeles. Entertainment Tonight reported Taylor was seen at Universal Studios on October 28 filming a promo that will air during her Speak now special on Thanksgiving. ET thinks it’s a promo video for Haunted but I’m going to disagree and say it might just be a Halloween-flavored clip. Based on Taylor and The Agency’s twitters I’m going to expect some Scooby-Doo style shenanigans to go down. We will find out on November 24, so mark your calendars or use ours. The special airs on NBC at 8PM Eastern Time.
Also yesterday, October 28, Taylor Swift filmed her episode on the Ellen DeGeneres show. People reports that Ellen teased her about being seen with Jake Gyllenhaal while on New York City. In her usual roundabout way, Ellen began asking Taylor if she believed in love and then went right to the point by saying, “especially if your boyfriend is Jake Gyllenhaal, because he is very handsome.” Ellen then added, “Y’all are just hanging out though, right?” Taylor replied, “you have a picture of us on the screen, don’t you?”
No, we haven’t seen the show or the alledged picture – Taylor and Jake have been careful not to be in close proximity to prevent getting photographed together. Read the original article on People to know more. Of course we don’t get Taylor’s actual reaction, we don’t know if she giggled, we don’t know if she played coy, we don’t know a thing yet. However, it appears Ellen couldn’t let it go without referring to Taylor’s knack for lyrical revenge with one final quip:
“Wouldn’t he be nervous if anything goes wrong?’
Update: The Insider has aired a clip, but this is full of spoilers so I’m not going to embed it. Go here to see it.
Ellen airs this Monday, November 1st. The show is syndicated so yes, you need to check your local listings.
Thanks to Country Music Tattle Tale for pointing us to these clips! These are from Taylor’s surprise rooftop concert in New York City which should be a part of her special to air on Thanksgiving.

Country Music Tattle Tale so let us know of a contest by Costco called the Taylor Swift VIP Experience that will offer you a chance at a 2011 concert and meeting Taylor Swift. You might want to read the rules here. Costco employees or their families are not eligible, unlike other contests we’ve heard of (*cough* Jetblue *cough*). Once again the rules only allow for US residents, which makes us scratch our heads as to why the form allows you to choose your country while the rules say US residents only.
In case you were not at the JFK holding a JetBlue ticket to get into their terminal (or a JetBlue employee haha) here’s a clip of Taylor Swift’s performance live in NYC at JFK on Wednesday, October 27:
And Stereoboard had to backtrack on its original confirmation that Taylor Swift was going to be present at Capital FM’s Jingle Ball 2010 at the 02 Arena in London. The organizer doesn’t have the official confirmation yet. Yes, Taylor Swift’s Tour + Schedule used to mention a Jingle Ball UK appearance, but it since has been removed. As a matter of fact, and I hate to put a damper of things, the official site has removed her UK appearances in December – which means her schedule is being revised. Since fans do want to know what happens I’m keeping track on the Calendar.
Here’s a TV Show from Denmark who managed to score an interview (maaan when is my turn) with the Outspoken One.
Coming up in the Calendar!
- November 1: The Speak Now Album Release Party will air on the Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday, November 1st (syndicated, check local listings).
- November 2: Taylor will be back on Los Angeles to perform on Dancing With the Stars, airing on ABC at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT).
