We were expecting to see a few thirteens included in that number. Then again perhaps they are (the digits add up to twelve in case you were wondering – add one for Taylor and you’ve got thirteen). By the way, if you ask me why thirteen you’re getting to use my guitar as a hat.

According to Billboard.com, 1,047,000 is the new magic number. Nielsen SoundScan released the Speak Now sales figure. It’s the largest sales week for an album since 50 Cent’s “The Massacre” reached No. 1 with 1,141,000 in March of 2005. Taylors album to top the Billboard 200, the second one of hers to do so since Fearless, who took 592,000 in November of 2008. In the current list, the different with the second place is staggering. Sugarland’s The Incredible Machine sold 89,000 units.
The Outspoken One has finally released a tour date for the Philippines! The Speak Now tour will make a stop in Manila at the Araneta Coliseum on February 19. 20111. Tickets are not available yet, but according to PEP.com, they will eventually be made available through TicketNet. Taylor also had the biggest opening in Canada, reported Canoe.ca, garnering 62,000 units. Eminem still holds the Canadian crown with his 85,000 opening back in June.
Speaking about Canada, the Outspoken One is headed to Toronto! She will be at MuchMusic on November 4 at 5pm. What I don’t quite get is if it’s a performance (that’s what it says on the facebook announcement), an interview (that’s what it is according to MuchMusic) or all of the above. I don’t like saying it but they are insisting she’s leaving by 6. Also, seems The Agency is not coming on this trip (or Grant is pulling a fast one on Twitter). I’m betting she brings a guitar though. Wish me luck.

One more detail from Dancing With The Stars yesterday (November 2) in case you missed it. The host pretends to faint and Taylor gets stuck with hosting duties. She does them to perfection.
