Haven’t you heard? She always gets the last word. Taylor is your entertainer of the year!

Entertainment Weekly has none other than the Outspoken One on the cover of their 2010 Entertainers of the Year edition. With singles turning into hits and her third studio album selling 1,047,000 units in the first week of its release, could you really debate that decision? This was the year she won four Grammys including Album of the Year for Fearless. She was also headlining and selling arenas and stadiums.

The interview touches the usual subjects of her songwriting and her inspirations for Speak Now. “Sometimes I would laugh because I would see it in print and it would say, ‘This song, which is written about her ex, so-and-so…’ And they would write about it as if it was fact,” says Taylor to Entertainment Weekly. “The fact is, I haven’t ever confirmed that any song is about any particular person. There’s something kind of freeing about that. As far as I’m concerned, it’s all still up in the air.”

She also explains how she decided to perform her song “Innocent” at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards. “I had decided that I didn’t want to perform on the show. Or even go. Then I woke up in the middle of the night and I realized that I had to, and that I wanted to perform that song.”

Taylor is also appearing on the cover of American Way, the American Airlines magazine you get on the plane. Just so you don’t need to take an unnecessary flight, you can read the full article here.

The Grammy nominations were on last night. You probably found the Grammy nominations were devoid of one person’s name: Taylor. The eligibility of music albums ends on September 1st, so don’t expect Speak Now to start its swooping award raid yet.  However both Fearless and Mine were singles released before that date, so a nod could’ve been possible. There were none. As Tom Roland remarks in Great American Country, don’t expect Taylor to be too bummed about her omission. She doesn’t take nominations for granted.

“I celebrate every nomination that I get,” Taylor says. “And if I don’t get nominated for stuff, I’m still the same [person] I was before I didn’t get nominated. [I’m] still the same as I was before I won Album of the Year. If I hadn’t won Album of the Year, I’d still be the same, so awards are amazing and I love having shelves and shelves full of them. And last year was amazing, but I know that I have t o work really hard for every nomination that I get, and I have to work hard for every extra day that I get to do this. That’s just part of it. You can’t feel like you deserve everything if you’ve gotten it once.”
