Hello Swifties! First award show! What do y’all think?
The parts we enjoyed here at the Swift Agency, where our entire personnel is still composed of one, had all something or everything to do with Taylor Swift. The Outspoken One won for Favorite Country Artist, and award she received from the hands of Sir Elton John. She was gracious enough to remember and congratulate Elton on being a dad.
She would reappear later to hand out the award for Favorite Male Actor to Johnny Depp. Johnny said hello to her on behalf of his daughter, a Swiftie herself. Taylor quickly replied to tell her she said hello back. Those were kind of the classiest moments of the show.
Selena Gomez and the Scene performed their single A Year Without Rain. They won for Favorite Breakout Artist. They shared a moment backstage and a cute hug.
Here’s Taylor’s acceptance speech for winning Favorite Country Artist:
And here’s Taylor presenting for Favorite Movie Actor:
Taylor didn’t win for Favorite Female Artist. The award went to Katy Perry, which is still a highlight. Katy also won for Teenage Dream.
I am not going to criticize the show… more than I already did online. Just let me say this: Queen Latifah needs to switch to decaf.
I want to thank @TheRealDee420 for being our red (blue) carpet correspondent.
