After all that they’ve been through, you know they’re cool

Hello Taylor Nation,

Here at the Swift Agency, I’d like to step out of character and ask that my small band of readers will join me in giving our love and support for the Agency’s Paul Sidoti. His mother, Janet Sidoti, has passed away. He will rejoin the Speak Now tour when he’s ready. I know you’ll join me in sending him and his family our deepest condolences.

The Sparkly Dressed played the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California on September 1st. The article in MercuryNews.com written for the Oakland Tribune is good, though it does get a few things wrong on the starting line. Taylor’s true role models are not only made of flesh and blood, they are from the Country music scene.

Taylor has always mentioned Faith Hill as one of her biggest role models, as she did recently in her interview in Nashville Lifestyles. The Fearless One would not have made it through the music business by just emulating Snow White.

Regardless of what people gather from the Wonderstruck ad, it does take a lot of talent and perseverance before anybody wants to put your face in a poster, your voice on a record and your feet on stage.

The article from MercuryNews.com does give her props on improving her vocal skills.

The Arm Lyrics on September 1st were: “After all that we’ve been through, I know we’re cool.” from Gwen Stefani’s Cool. Here’s the blond with the guitar that has koi fishes on it singing a cover of Train’s Drops Of Jupiter at the HP Pavilion.

Yes, we know Taylor already played a second show at the HP Pavilion on September 2. We heard she covered Greenday’s Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life). More news from that show coming up soon 🙂

Another detail from the Nashville Lifestyles article is the Enchantress mentioning places in Nashville. I know the Music City is about to get some visitors from the UK that might want to know about this:

If you’re dealing with foodies, take them to City House in Germantown. If your guests like barbecue and a laid-back, front porch vibe, South Street is great. 12South is a really cool area and Burger Up is fairly new, plus the Frothy Monkey is next door for coffee. At least drive down Broadway and show them the honkytonks. Go to Pancake Pantry for breakfast. I like to drive down Music Row and show out of town guests how quaint and laid back our music industry has stayed, with major record and publishing companies in cute little houses.
