The singer-songwriter and now Grammy-award-winning duo of The Civil Wars, John Paul White and Joy Williams talked to United Kingdom’s online video magazine Crane.TV about their success. The folk duo has toured with Adele, collaborated with Taylor Swift and won two Grammy awards for Best Country Duo/Group Performance and Best Folk Album for Barton Hollow.

Joy Williams is having her first child with her husband, their producer Nate Yetton, this June.

This is a picture taken by Sparkly Dressed of JP and Joy during their composing sessions at T. Burnett’s house. From that collaboration, Safe and Sound, emerged.

  1. Whoa so this isn’t directly related but I saw the twitter thing on the side and someone from Taylor’s band tweeted about The Head and the Heart, which is insane! They’re from my city and they are amazing! Actually I’m pretty sure Charity went to my high school. Plus they’re friends with The Civil Wars (who are amazing as well, of course). Such a small world! Good music knows no boundaries.
