Hello music lovers,
There’s a few reasons I started this blog. Even back then, one was sparkly dressed, while the others wore suits and shades. Nowadays, there’s also some powerful reasons to continue writing it. This is one of the best.
If you haven’t heard about the talented and beautiful Mallary Hope, now would be the very best time to discover her. Her latest work is getting more and more amazing. Hopefully next year we’ll get some new music.
To tide us over, the Hopester just celebrated a followers milestone by posting a new song, Swinging, in Reverbnation. The song, written by Mal with fellow songwriters Phil Barton and Alissa Moreno, is a somber but powerful song in both melody and lyrics about overcoming obstacles and proving naysayers wrong. Mal and her fellow songwriters have written something that feels Country and breathes Soul at the same time. Be glad you’re hearing it acoustic, because I think that’s the best way it should be heard. This is some of her best work, and she’s letting us download this song.
Mallary Hope is featured on Darius Rucker’s upcoming album, True Believers, out on January 22. She sings on the track I Will Love You Still. According to mallaryhopefans.com, the Original Georgia Peach will also be joining Dave Barnes’ A Very Merry Christmas at the James K. Polk Theater on December 15. Tickets via the Tennesse Performing Arts Center.
