We here at the Swift Agency are kind of swamped at the moment. Which is very bad if you consider that we’re actually just one guy, who should be in bed after a long day. What I am is honored to be among the websites CMT.com is keeping in touch with to promote the event. They also sent me a couple of links that fans might have missed. So believe it or not, this is an official CMT preview. Let’s go to the video!
Vodpod videos no longer available.
I know, official means I need to show you the commercial preview too. If this sounds familiar to some people it’s because you saw it already if you downloaded the CMT Insider app for the iPhone/iTouch. It’s also up on another dozen sites so I know I’ve hardly got an exclusive here.
According to the Tennessean.com, Taylor Swift donated $100,000 to rebuild Kids Kingdom in her current hometown of Hendersonville, Nashville. Not strange considering she thinks little kids are awesome. I’m pretty sure they think she’s pretty awesome too.
In other news, Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will host the 45 annual CMA Awards Show. I believe they are the best team to host a country show in the planet. As reported by GAC.com, both are thrilled to be hosting for their third consecutive year. The last time they hosted someone took like all the awards from the top shelf home. It was some blond girl that writes songs.
“The CMAs are different from any other awards night,” stated Brad Paisley, who has won 13 awards since receiving the Horizon Award. “You’re looking at a roomful of people who love each other. And any new viewer will be pleasantly surprised at what they relate to on the Awards and what they like that they had no idea they would like. For that reason alone, this is the most important night of the year for country music.”
“It’s all about country Music,” piped in Carrie Underwood, who won Female Vocalist of the Year for three years in a row. “We all live here. This is our community. The CMA Awards are in Nashville, the home of country music. It’s great to come here and celebrate that every year.”
Taylor Swift’s new single Mine will get its video premiere on CMT this Friday, August 27 at 8pm ET/5pm PT. It will be a LIVE half-hour special event. The Fearless One will talk about her music video locations and introduce some behind-the-scenes footage. Finally you will get to see the world premiere of Mine at 8:30pm ET/5:30pm PT
Taylor will also be a part of the CMA Festival: Country’s Night to Rock that airs on ABC on September the 1st at 8/7c (that’s 8pm Eastern, 7PM Central). You will get to see her play Mine live for the first time in a secret performance that happened during the CMA Festival.
