Justin Moore and Chris Young were at the Ryman Auditorium this morning to reveal the first batch of nominations for the CMA Awards. Congratulations go to Lady Antebellum with four nominations! The hit country music group comprised of Dave Haywood, Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott which recently hit 4x platinum, has nods for Vocal Group and Single, Song and Video of the Year for I Need You Now. If you’re a fan you probably expected an extra nod for American Honey. I know I did. Definitely expecting some extra nods for them tomorrow 🙂
Miranda Lambert leads with five nominations. She gets nominations for Single, Song and Video of the Year for The House That Built Me and White Liar. She only co-wrote of the two (White Liar) otherwise it would’ve been six. Way to go Miranda!

No, nothing for the Sparkly Dressed 😦 To be honest, I don’t have my hopes up this year as her last album won everything last year and her new album is not out yet. Still looking forward to seeing her attend.
Coming up tomorrow, Wednesday September 1st, Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley will announce the remaining and top nominations (including Entertainer of the Year) during Good Morning America on ABC.

The Mine video is now available on iTunes!
Tomorrow night at 8pm Eastern / 7pm Central is the CMA Festival: Country’s Night To Rock special with a highlight on Taylor Swift’s 13-hour Meet & Greet and secret Mine live performance from earlier this year.
On September 9, Taylor Swift will perform at kickoff time in New Orleans for the Saints vs. Vikings game to be broadcast on NBC at 7:30pm ET.
