Countdown to RED: T minus 12 days. Rolling Stone cover and ACA nominations.

Hello Taylor Nation,

Here at the Swift Agency, still one guy who’s lying on the cold hard ground because he was vacuuming under the couch, we’re happy to hear that I Knew You Were Trouble is now available on iTunes in the UK as well! The Princess in Red’s media coverage continues as she graces the cover of Rolling Stone for October 25. I’m not a big fan of this cover to tell you the truth. The lighting appears like something used in the interrogation room of a police precinct. You can find the original story in Hollywood Life.

The Sparkly Dressed has been nominated for a total of five American Country Awards nominations: Artist of the Year, Best Female Artist, Single of the Year, Best Female Single and Best Female Video. The awards, created by the FOX network in 2010 as an answer to the well-established CMA, ACM and CMT awards that run on other networks, are fan-voted and I have no evidence whatsoever that there’s a final say.

So I got nothing to add… no siree bob, nothing… ok I might have something. Rant starting in 5… 4… 3…

In the ACA’s two year run, the results seem to follow that weird “you’re-here-you-win” rule I’ve come up with when awards are won by the people attending. I’m not saying the winners don’t deserve their awards. I don’t disagree with the nominations, so any of them winning is good. However, It’s always been sketchy to me that T-Swizzle has never won one of these with the large fanbase she has. Yes, I am biased – this is a blog and I can actually chime in. I really hope that I’m proven wrong this year. I’d like to see the wins match the fanbase numbers. Rant over.

The  2012 MTV EMA takes place on November 11 and will be broadcast live on MTV channels worldwide at 9pm Central European Time. The Sparkly Dresses is nominated for Best Female, Best Pop, Best Look, Best Live and Best World Stage. You can vote for Taylor here.
