Here at the Swift Agency, one guy who’s really looking forward to Nashville, we’re really happy but not entirely surprised with the Sparkly Dressed’s win at the Billboard Awards. You see, her album made more than a million sales in a week. That doesn’t happen. And when it comes down to it, it’s very hard to beat her at record sales.
It’s also hard to beat her at ticket sales for that matter, which worked out beautifully for the Speak Now… Help Now! fundraiser event! As Taylor herself announced to the audience on the show, more than $750,000 USD were made on tickets alone.
I want to stress how she chose to address it to the crowd: “YOU have raised over $750,000.” She excluded herself from the equation. Some celebs could learn a thing or two from the Outspoken One.
Here is the Enchantress herself being interviewed by Billboard.
Here is T-Swizzle talking to E! Entertainment. I love that when she gets asked if she’s going to fly around the stage she goes “probably.”
And if you miss it here is Tay again accepting her Country Artist of the Year award:
The Story Of Us premieres tomorrow on MTV and MTV.com today, May 24! Here is the clip from MTV News. Warning: it does include a sneek peek.
Vodpod videos no longer available. Can’t wait to see it myself!
