Hello, Taylor Nation π
The Outspoken One took the stage once more, this time at the Heinz Field in Pittsburgh on her home state of Pennsylvania. It is often said she originates from the city of Reading. To be precise, Taylor was born and raised in Wyomissing, a neighborhood of the Greater Reading Area of which Reading is the main city.
Now open your books to page 13. I’m kidding.
As detailed by the article on the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Sparkly Dressed would reminisce briefly about her memories from her home state. “I’ve actually had some pretty good times in the state of Pennsylvania,” she said. “You know, there was… being born. And learning to play guitar. That was a good one.”
She recalled singing the National Anthem for the Steelers earlier in her career. “I remember standing on that field and thinking that this many people couldn’t be in one place,” said Taylor. She’s been doing a bit of a balancing act, between stopping and talking, or just basking in the spotlight but keeping it a bit shorter to pack more songs since the Asian and European legs of the Speak Now Tour.
The Enchantress had new lyrics in her arm since St. Paul. Now she resorted to Montgomery Gentry’s My Town: “Where I was born, where I was raised. Where I keep all my yesterdays.”
Here at the Swift Agency, still one guy that misses Nashville, we have stopped the Inside Speak Now articles for now. I will probably write one for the concert in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on July 14 – when Taylor performs in my home city for the first time. Until then, some secrets are better left unsaid – although if at this point you’ve managed to keep yourself spoiler-free, kudos to you! It’s difficult.
