Hello Taylor Nation,
The Princess in Red took the 55th Grammy Awards by storm as the opening number. Turning the stage into a circus/sideshow, she did an amazing performance of We Are Never Ever Getting Together. During the huge production, she even unveiled her “ex” tied to a wheel and changed part of the lyrics of her mid-song dialog to “I’m busy, I’m opening at the GRAMMYs.” Yes, I’ll get you a clip.
The Sparkly Dressed won Best Song Written For Visual Media for Safe and Sound along with The Civil Wars and T. Bone Burnett during the pre-telecast. She lost Best Country Duo/Group Performance for Safe and Sound with The Civil Wars to Little Big Town. Congratulations to them too.
Here’s the Blonde With The Sparkly Guitar, John Paul White and Joy Williams from the Civil Wars and producer T. Bone Burnett accepting Best Song Written For Visual Media for Safe and Sound.
Thanks to The GRAMMYs, grammyawards2013 and E! Entertainment for posting! Yes, I’m working on the elusive clip of the performance. Hope to have that for you soon. This is the best quality I can find for now. Thanks to IdolxMuzic for posting:
She was also nominated for Record of the Year for We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together. She lost that to Gotye’s Somebody That I Used To Know featuring Kimbra. Congratulations to them!
