Hello, Swifties! I had to use those Brad Paisley lyrics for the title, they were just too fitting! We got a couple of pictures as well a very impressive and long list of milestones compiled by Country Music Tattle Tale from Taylor Swift’s celebration at the Hard Rock Cafe in Nashville. The party was billed as “Heavy Metal at the Hard Rock.”
On the picture on your left you can see from left to right: Shayna Steele and David Cook, Paul Sidoti and Ashley White, Grant Mickelson and Claire Callaway, Taylor Swift, Caitlin Evanson, Brittany Milton and Mike Meadows, and last but not least Amos J. Heller. I guess Al and Liz couldn’t make the party. For the funny version of this picture, scroll to the bottom.
Here is the milestone list:
- Taylor has sold over 4.4 million albums in 2010. That makes her Billboard & Nielsen SoundScan’s top-selling artist of the year, for the second time in three years.
- In 2008 she was SoundScan’s top-selling artist in 2008, and in 2009 the Fearless album was the biggest-selling CD.
- Speak Now sold 1,046,740 copies the first week of its release in October. That was the biggest debut-week sales for an album since 2005, and the biggest debut ever for a country studio album.
- Speak Now has attained Triple Platinum+ status.
- Every song from Speak Now has been listed on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Eleven of them were listed at once.
- The first single for Speak Now, Mine, has sold 1.6 million digital downloads. So far.
- Taylor is Billboard’s most-played artist. For the second year. In a row. In their annual all-genre Artist Airplay chart she appeared 1.128 million times in 2010.
- Taylor is still the top selling digital artist in music history. Over 35 million tracks sold and counting.
- Each year for three years in a row, Taylor’s sales have exceeded 4 million albums. She’s the only artist to have ever achieved that.
- Fearless is 6x Platinum. Taylor Swift is 5x Platinum. Update: The original article says Fearless is 5x Platinum but I just checked on the RIAA site.
- Love Story has now sold more than 5 million digital tracks.
- Speak Now was #1 on Billboard’s all-genre Top 200 Albums chart for five weeks. Speak Now was 2010’s best-selling Internet album.
- Taylor’s career sales are more than 20 million albums and 35 million song downloads.
- For the Speak Now 2011 World Tour, Taylor will cover 90 shows in 19 country. It all starts February 9th in Singapore.
You can read the original story in Country Music Tattle Tale. Nice work! 🙂

Wow what a list thats incredible. Im so proud of her and the agency. I think we need to start lobbying for her to sing Long Live at the Grammy’s.
Fearless is 6x Platinum…a typo has appeared in all the media stories
You are correct. I just checked the RIAA site. Corrected now. Thank you 🙂
